Franklin D. Roosevelt was a radical president compared to the past presidents. He came in with all of these new ideas of change and reform. When Roosevelt was elected, he created a series of reform movements that would deal with the problems in American society. Although many of those reform movements failed, one was successful and still exists today. That movement was the ultimate reform movement called the â€Å"New Deal.† The New Deal is radical considering it provided reforms that included giving the federal government more power, such as: Social Security and the Fair Labor Standards Acts, and creating precedents that continue to shape American lives today.
